    eggs1Easter Egg Hunt!  Thursday, March 21

    In celebration of the first day of spring and Easter, the Library will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages.  Starting at 3:30 pm, younger children will have a few minutes head start, and then everyone will be off to find those eggs!  Children will be limited to the total number of eggs they can keep, but remember to bring your Easter Basket – you will need it!   For more information, please contact the library at 715-669-5953 or find us on Facebook.

    Story Hour – Tuesdays 10:30 am

    Please Note:  Story Hour will NO longer be held at Oakbrook Health and Rehab on the second Tuesday of the month.

    Children of all ages are welcome to attend this entertaining and educational session.  Registration is not required and programming lasts 30-45 minutes.  Stories are read and crafts or activities follow!  It is a great opportunity to introduce your child to other children and instill a love of reading.  Please contact the library if you have any questions.

    Thorp Public Library Birthday Book Clubballoons

    The Thorp Public Library Birthday Book Club will start in January 2013! The Birthday Book Club is a wonderful opportunity for you to donate a book to the Thorp Public Library in honor of your child’s birthday! With your donation, your child gets to select which brand new hardcover book they would like to donate to the library (from our Birthday Book Club selection of new books) and we will put a bookplate in the book stating that this book was generously donated in honor of (your child’s name) and birth date. Your child will be the first to check the book out and then it goes on the library shelves for everyone in the community to enjoy. Frequently, children will select a book and discover that it is the Birthday Book of a friend which makes them smile!

    During their birthday month the birthday child(ren) will come to the library to select a new, hardcover book from a variety of titles chosen by our Director, Miss Julie.  Once a book is selected, a bookplate is placed in the book indicating the book was given in his or her honor.
